Description
This outdoor treadmill is self powered: the belt is driven by the user’s stride, so no electrical connection is required at all. That single characteristic is what makes free siting possible, in a garden, on a hotel terrace or in the grounds of a small facility, without trenching, cabling or a nearby socket.
The belt moves under the runner’s push, in the same way as the curved treadmills used on physical preparation floors. Removing the motor removes the electrical connection, removes the running cost and removes the constraint that normally dictates where a cardio machine can go. The residential version is dimensioned for regular individual or family use outdoors and is aimed at hotels, guest houses, small facilities and private clients who want a permanent outdoor running station. The construction is designed for continuous exposure to the weather rather than for a sheltered indoor position.

Adding an outdoor cardio station without electrical works
Hotels, guest houses and small facilities generally want an outdoor fitness point but stop when the electrical quotation arrives. A self powered treadmill removes that line entirely. What remains is groundwork: a level, drained base and anchorage sized for the frame, both of which we detail in the free implantation study. Because the machine has no motor and no electronics to protect, seasonal shutdown is not an issue, and it stays usable through the year. Effort at a given speed is slightly higher than on a motorised belt, since the user is also driving the belt, which is worth explaining to guests. Light In Fitness has manufactured and distributed professional equipment from Tours since 2013 and has supported more than 500 establishments; every project includes a free implantation study, delivery throughout France, installation by our teams and a professional warranty, with wear parts available afterwards.
