Description
This self powered outdoor cross trainer generates its resistance mechanically from the user’s movement, so it needs no electrical connection and costs nothing to run. The residential version is specified for individual or family use rather than intensive open access.
The elliptical action works the legs, arms and trunk together with very little joint loading, which makes it the most complete and most widely accessible outdoor cardio movement. Because resistance comes from the mechanism rather than a motor, the machine can be positioned anywhere the anchoring can be made: a garden, a hotel terrace, a holiday let, a small residential courtyard, with no cabling and no supply to plan around.
The construction is designed for permanent outdoor exposure, and the absence of a motor removes any electrical maintenance. Upkeep amounts to cleaning and periodic inspection of the moving parts. The collective version of the same machine is reinforced for intensive open access; our team advises on which is appropriate once the expected traffic at the site is known.

Choosing between the residential and collective versions
The distinction is traffic, not quality. A residential machine is sized for regular use by a household, a small guest house or a modest residence. A collective machine is reinforced for continuous unsupervised use in a public space, where a machine may be used hundreds of times a week by people who did not pay for it.
Getting that choice wrong is expensive in both directions, so we size the specification against the expected footfall at your site. Detailed dimensions, the material specification, the safety zone and the anchoring detail for this reference are confirmed in the free siting study we prepare from your site drawing and issue with the quotation. Installation throughout France is carried out by our own teams. We deliver to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and quote export per project.
Frequently asked questions
Why a cross trainer rather than a bike outdoors?
The elliptical action engages the upper and lower body together with almost no joint impact, which makes it the most complete outdoor cardio station and the one accessible to the widest age range.
What is the difference from the collective version?
The collective version is reinforced for intensive free access in a public space. The residential version targets regular individual or family use. Our team advises on the right choice based on the traffic at the site.
