Description
The M-5811 is a fully shrouded magnetic indoor cycling bike for commercial studios, with a rear-mounted flywheel, an LCD console with USB port and a choice of belt or chain drive. Price: 1,950 EUR excluding VAT.
Built for group cycling classes
The M-5811 belongs to the professional indoor cycling category. Full plastic shrouding covers the crank, the flywheel and the associated components, which does two things in a studio: it keeps hands and clothing away from moving parts during a class taken in low light, and it keeps sweat off the mechanism, which is the main cause of premature wear on studio bikes.

The console
The handlebar LCD reports energy expenditure, RPM and other session data so riders can follow their progress through a class. The USB port allows music and video playback from a stick, which matters in studios that run unstaffed or self-directed cycling sessions outside class times.
Studio finish and customisation
The clean line and full shrouding are a deliberate aesthetic choice: an indoor cycling studio sells the room as much as the workout, and a bank of matched fully faired bikes reads very differently from a row of exposed mechanisms. Finishes and colours can be customised on request.

Frequently asked questions
Belt or chain drive?
Belt drive is quieter and needs no lubrication, which suits a studio where the instructor is speaking over the bikes. Chain drive gives a more traditional road feel and is simple to service. Both are available on this model, specified at order.
How many bikes does a studio need?
Class capacity determines the number. Allow roughly 1.2 x 2 m per bike including circulation, and plan the instructor position and sightlines before fixing the grid.
What maintenance does magnetic resistance require?
Magnetic resistance has no friction pad to replace, which removes the main consumable of older studio bikes. Routine care is limited to cleaning, checking the pedals and crank, and inspecting the drive.
