Description

The kids leg press and twister combination is a children’s outdoor fitness unit supplied and installed throughout France by Light In Fitness. Two complementary posts share one chassis: a leg press where the child pushes against their own body weight, and a twister where the pelvis rotates from side to side.

Strength and mobility on a single chassis

A well-designed children’s circuit alternates effort types. This unit builds the alternation into one piece of equipment: the leg press delivers the strength stimulus – quadriceps and glutes driving against body weight – while the twister mobilises the waist and challenges balance. Two children occupy the unit at once, and a single child can chain both posts as a miniature circuit.

What the child works

  • Quadriceps and glutes (press)
  • Obliques and transverse abdominals (twister)
  • Lumbo-pelvic mobility
  • Balance and proprioception

Why choose this model

  • A strength post and a mobility post on a single chassis
  • Load is body weight: no settings, no overload risk
  • Two children use the unit at the same time
  • The twister develops balance – a capacity too rarely trained

Two compliance versions: EN 16630 or EN 1176

Available in an EN 16630 version (free-access outdoor fitness equipment, for users of at least 1.40 m) and an EN 1176 version (playground equipment standard, with EN 1177 surfacing where free fall height requires it). The compliance route follows the administrative status of your space and is confirmed before quotation.

Frequently asked questions

How does a body-weight leg press work for a child?

The child sits and drives the sliding seat by extending the legs, lifting their own body weight along the guided path. The load can never exceed the child’s weight, which removes the overload risk entirely.

What is the benefit of pairing the press with a twister?

Strength work then mobility work, in immediate succession. The pairing teaches children the rhythm of a real training circuit – effort, then release – inside a single unit.

Is this unit suitable for a school circuit-training course?

Yes – circuit training for children is one of its stated uses. Teachers typically station pairs of pupils on the two posts and rotate the class through.
