Description

GEOGRAPHOS assembles six isosceles triangular nets, two of them vertical and four inclined at 45 to 55 degrees, connected at their apexes across four posts in a 3.0 x 3.0 m configuration. Every face presents a different angle of climb.

Six angles, one structure

The mix of vertical and inclined panels is what gives this module its range. A vertical face demands arm strength and precise foot placement; a face at 45 degrees can be climbed almost like a slope. Placing both on the same structure means a child chooses their own difficulty at every attempt, and the progression from the easiest inclined panel to the vertical ones happens without any adult setting a target.

  • Six isosceles triangular nets
  • Two vertical panels and four inclined at 45 to 55 degrees
  • Panels connected at their apexes
  • Posts with galvanised and powder coated caps

With six faces and a square 8.3 x 8.3 m safety area, GEOGRAPHOS works as the main attraction of a play area. It absorbs a large group because the faces are used independently, and it holds attention because the routes between panels are not obvious from the ground.

Maintenance

The apex connections carry loads from several panels at once and are the first item on the inspection list, alongside rope tension and sheath wear, under the routine, operational and annual regime required by EN 1176.

Frequently asked questions

Which face should be positioned towards the entrance?

An inclined face, so that arriving children meet the easiest route first. We mark the orientation on the implantation drawing supplied with the quotation.

Is it more demanding than a single vertical net?

It covers a wider range: the inclined panels are easier than a vertical net and the connections between panels are harder. That spread is the reason to specify it.

How much clear ground is needed?

The full 8.3 x 8.3 m square, surfaced to EN 1176-1 against a free height of fall of 2.85 m, and free of paths, seating and planting.
