Description
The Ellipse Chest Press is a seated horizontal pressing machine loaded with Olympic plates, measuring 150 x 120 x 171.5 cm and weighing 164 kg. Light In Fitness supplies it at 1,650 EUR excluding VAT.
The busiest machine on most strength floors
If you audit machine usage in a commercial gym, the seated chest press is almost always in the top three. It is the movement new members ask for first, it needs no technical instruction, and it can be performed safely at any load without a spotter. That combination is why it is the station where throughput matters most, and why the quality of the seat adjustment, not the frame, is what determines whether the machine works during a busy evening.
- Seated horizontal press, plate-loaded on an integrated disc support
- Quick spring adjustment of seat height
- Contoured seat and backrest holding a correct pressing posture
- All adjustment points colour-coded in yellow
Seat height sets the pressing line
The handles should meet the user at mid-chest, on the line the arms would naturally take. Too low and the shoulders roll forward under load; too high and the movement becomes an inclined press with the shoulders elevated. The Ellipse spring adjustment changes the height in one movement, without a threaded knob to unwind, so a member finds their setting in seconds and the station keeps moving.
Ellipse build standard
Pulleys are high-strength nylon, 105 x 20 mm, running on sealed 6202RS bearings. The finish is a two-pass powder coating with a clear top coat over it, and both the frame colour and the moving arm colour are specified at order rather than fixed. Upholstery is polyurethane foam under synthetic leather; handles and foot support areas are aluminium.

Frequently asked questions
Chest press or bench press for a mixed membership?
Both, if the floor allows it. The chest press machine serves the majority who want to train the chest without learning to bench safely; the bench serves the minority who train seriously. Clubs that install only a bench lose the first group entirely, which is a larger commercial loss than the cost of the machine.
How much space does it need in service?
The frame occupies 150 x 120 cm. Allow entry space behind the seat and side access for plate loading, so plan on around 4 m2 including circulation.
Can the colours be matched to the club identity?
Yes, frame and arms are specified separately at order, so a two-tone scheme in your own RAL references is possible. Custom finishes carry the standard manufacturing lead time rather than the stock lead time.
