Description
The Double Eight develops our looped-tunnel concept into twin conjoined loops of curved steel, carrying two distinct rope tunnels – one suspended between the loops, one anchored at ground level. Seats, ladders, an acoustic telephone and three sensory panels round out a module that mixes climbing, balance and sensory exploration along an 11.3 m line.
Two tunnels, twice the exploration
The suspended tunnel, fitted with rubber mats, challenges children aged 5 to 14 to crawl and balance at height; the ground-anchored tunnel offers a sheltered passage for quieter exploration below. Between and around the loops, four ladders and two seats create circulation and rest points, while the acoustic telephone and three sensory panels add communication games and tactile discovery – features that extend the module’s appeal to children who engage through senses rather than strength.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Double Eight differ from the single Eight module?
It doubles the loop geometry to create two tunnels with different characters – one aerial, one grounded – and adds sensory equipment: acoustic telephone, sensory panels, extra seats and ladders.
What is the acoustic telephone?
A voice tube linking two points of the structure: children speak at one end and are heard at the other, encouraging cooperative and communicative play.
What area does it need?
A 14.9 x 7.5 m safety zone with surfacing rated for the 3.0 m free fall height; the slim 4.4 m width suits linear plots.
