Description
The Aludra organises climbing into a natural progression: a lower net with tight 130 x 130 mm mesh where beginners find close, secure footholds, and an upper zone extended by a vertical rope chimney for climbers ready to commit. With at least eighteen climbing ropes along its curved steel frame, it coaches children from first steps to confident ascents.
Two levels, one learning curve
Most nets treat all climbers the same; the Aludra differentiates. The tight-mesh lower net shortens every reach and step, giving less experienced children aged 5 and up an achievable start. As skills grow, they graduate to the upper net and finally the rope chimney – a vertical shaft of cordage that demands technique and nerve. The curved frame, built from steel of at least 200 mm diameter, gives the module its flowing silhouette.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the mesh size vary between zones?
The 130 x 130 mm lower mesh gives short reaches and frequent footholds for beginners; the more open upper net and the rope chimney progressively raise the difficulty as confidence builds.
What is the rope chimney?
A vertical shaft of cordage rising from the upper net – climbers brace between its walls to ascend, an introduction to technique used in real climbing.
What are the ground requirements?
Footings at 1.1 m depth and a 15.1 x 9.2 m safety zone with surfacing rated for the 2.5 m free fall height.
