Light In Fitness is known for the build quality of its professional sports equipment. Since 2013 the company has manufactured steel and stainless steel sports structures and distributed professional strength and cardio ranges to buyers who need equipment that survives continuous commercial use: gym operators, cross-training boxes, hotels, care homes, local authorities, schools, clubs and military units. This article sets out what we supply, how it is specified and what a complete quotation actually covers.
Professional equipment, not consumer machines
The range spans treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, cross trainers, rowing machines, weight benches, selectorised and plate-loaded strength machines, functional rigs and outdoor structures. Every product is built from materials chosen for service life and impact resistance rather than showroom appeal, because a machine on a commercial floor is used by dozens of different people every day rather than by one household.
That distinction has a formal definition. Indoor equipment intended for a facility open to users must meet class S of EN ISO 20957-1, the class covering professional and commercial use. Outdoor adult fitness equipment installed in a public space falls under EN 16630. Where children are the intended users, the equipment is assessed under EN 1176-1 and the impact-absorbing surface under EN 1177. These are not interchangeable, and an equipment list that mixes them will not pass inspection.
Beyond the structure itself, professional machines carry the features that let a facility run a varied timetable. Our professional treadmills offer preset training programmes that can be adjusted to the intensity a user or coach requires, and the bikes provide graded resistance settings across a wide range of difficulty levels, so the same machine serves a rehabilitation user in the morning and an interval session in the evening.
Manufacturing and ranges
Steel and stainless steel structures are manufactured in our own workshops, which is what allows a rig, a calisthenics park or an outdoor circuit to be configured to a site rather than sold as a fixed catalogue item. Alongside that manufacturing, we distribute professional strength and cardio ranges: free-weight areas built around professional weight benches, selectorised circuits for supervised training, and cardio floors sized to the peak attendance of the venue.
Stainless steel matters for outdoor and coastal projects, for aquatic environments and for any installation where corrosion would otherwise dictate the replacement cycle. Galvanised and coated steel covers most inland outdoor sites at a lower cost. Which one is right for a project depends on exposure, not on preference, and it is one of the first questions our technical team asks.
Warranty and after-sales support
One of the reasons buyers return to Light In Fitness is the warranty. Every product ships with a full warranty covering parts and labour, so that an operator can plan a maintenance budget instead of absorbing surprises. Spare parts availability is part of the specification: on a commercial floor, the cost of a machine is the purchase price plus the downtime it will generate over ten years.
Customer support is available to help with any question or issue arising with the equipment, from installation and commissioning through to routine servicing. The intention is straightforward: every product should meet the highest standards of quality and performance in real operating conditions, not in a brochure.
What a Light In Fitness quotation covers
A fit-out is more than a list of machines. Our quotations cover the equipment, the floor build-up beneath it, delivery and installation, so that a single document can be submitted for approval or tender. That matters for public buyers in particular, where the flooring specification, the applicable standards and the installation method all have to be evidenced.
Outdoor projects are quoted the same way. A circuit of outdoor fitness trail stations is priced with its foundations, its safety surfacing and its free-space requirements, because those are the elements that determine whether an installation can be signed off.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply equipment for facilities that are not commercial gyms?
Yes. Hotels, campsites, residential developments, schools, clubs, rehabilitation centres, care homes, local authorities and military units all form part of the customer base. The specification changes with the user profile, but the professional-use requirement does not.
Can a project mix manufactured structures and distributed ranges?
That is the usual case. A typical fit-out combines a made-to-measure rig or outdoor structure with selectorised machines, cardio equipment and flooring from the distributed ranges, all quoted as one package.
Is equipment sold individually?
Yes, single machines and replacement parts are available, but most projects are sized as a whole because floor area, circulation and flooring have to be resolved together.
