Professional strength training equipment is built for a very different life than a piece of home equipment: ten to fourteen hours of use a day, dozens of different users, and no tolerance for a machine that is out of service on a Monday morning. Whether you run a commercial gym, a hotel wellness floor, a sports club or a municipal facility, the machines you install decide how your members train and how much you spend on maintenance over the next decade.
What makes a machine professional
A professional machine is defined by its frame, its bearings and its cables far more than by its marketing. Heavy steel sections, sealed bearings, high grade cables and pulleys designed for continuous cycling are what allow a station to keep a smooth, precise movement path after years of intensive use. The finish matters too: powder coated frames and replaceable upholstery keep a facility looking new long after the warranty has expired.
Our own approach has not changed since the company was founded in 2013: design and build equipment for real training, equipment that is good looking, functional, reliable, durable and still competitive on price.
The three families you will combine
Selectorised machines
Pin loaded stations are the backbone of a mixed membership floor. They are quick to adjust, they guide the movement, and they let a beginner and an experienced lifter use the same station one after the other. Browse the selectorised machine range for upper body and lower body stations.
Plate loaded machines
Plate loaded stations give a more demanding feel and a progressive resistance curve, and they are popular with strength focused clubs and performance centres. See the plate loaded machine range.
Free weights, benches and racks
Barbells, dumbbells, bumper plates, storage units and lifting platforms complete the floor, together with benches and racks for pressing and squatting. Cross training cages and functional accessories extend the same floor towards group and circuit work.
Specifying a floor rather than buying machines
The most common mistake is to buy stations one by one. A strength floor works as a system: the muscle groups covered, the circulation between stations, the safety distances, the flooring underneath and the visual coherence of the frames and upholstery all matter. Choosing one family of finishes across the whole strength equipment range gives a facility a single identity instead of a collection of leftovers.
For a commercial gym, the priority is throughput and station variety. For a hotel or a residential development, it is a compact, low maintenance selection that looks good in a glazed room. For a club or a performance centre, it is load capacity and free weight depth. For a municipality or a school, it is durability, safety and a long spare parts horizon.
Durability and after sales
Frames carry a warranty of up to twenty years on steel structures and a lifetime warranty on stainless steel. That length is only meaningful if spare parts, cables, upholstery and pulleys remain available, so ask about parts availability before you compare prices. More than five hundred facilities have been equipped since 2013.
Frequently asked questions
How many strength stations do I need per hundred members?
There is no universal ratio. The useful method is to count peak hour attendance rather than total membership, then plan enough stations so that no member waits more than a minute or two at the busiest time of day.
Should I mix selectorised and plate loaded machines?
In most commercial facilities, yes. Selectorised stations serve the widest audience, while a smaller plate loaded and free weight zone keeps experienced members engaged.
Can I extend an installation later?
Yes, provided you choose a range that stays in production. This is one of the reasons to standardise on a limited number of product families from the start.
