Description
The Triceps Forza Bodytone FB31 is a selectorised triceps extension machine for professional gyms, supplied with a 93 kg stack in 7 kg increments. The seated position and the fixed elbow support hold the upper arm still, so the load is applied to the triceps through a controlled arc rather than through shoulder or torso compensation. Footprint is 107 x 103 cm for a height of 150 cm, and the machine weighs 91 kg before plates.
The structure splits into a stack column in 110 x 50 mm carbon steel tube and a functional section in 100 x 50 mm tube, both in 2.5 mm wall thickness and robot welded with no spatter. Three assemblies carry specific coatings: the plate guide rods are stainless steel with a double hard chrome treatment for smooth plate travel, the pulleys are V groove nylon running on internal bearings, and the traction cables are 5 mm steel fully sheathed in PVC with a tested breaking index of 1,000 kg. Ball bearings on the movement arm keep the action quiet.

Where it fits on the gym floor
The FB31 has a near square 107 x 103 cm footprint, which suits an island position in an arms pod rather than a tight wall run. Plan a front access band for the user and a rear clearance of around 40 cm so a technician can reach the stack and cable termination without moving the machine. Total loaded mass is roughly 184 kg over a rubber footed base, low enough for a standard concrete slab.
In a commercial circuit the triceps machine is normally installed next to a biceps curl station and a chest press, giving members a complete pushing and pulling sequence in one zone. It is also a common choice in hotel and corporate gyms, where a small footprint machine that needs no coaching is worth more than an additional free weight rack. The seated, supported position makes it appropriate for deconditioned users and for return to activity programmes supervised by a trainer.
Frequently asked questions
Which muscles does the FB31 work?
It targets the triceps brachii across its three heads, with the elbow as the only moving joint. The pad and handle geometry stabilise the upper arm, which is what distinguishes the machine from a cable pushdown performed at a crossover station.
Can the stack be uprated?
Standard supply is 93 kg. Additional plates can be quoted where a facility trains strength athletes; state the target load with your enquiry.
What maintenance does it need?
Periodic lubrication of the bearings and the calibrated steel guide rods, plus a visual inspection of the cable, sheath and upholstery. Warranty is 2 to 5 years depending on the range, and Light In Fitness has supported professional installations from Tours since 2013.
