Description
The TRAINER Steel4Fit vertical massager weighs 30 kg, plus 50 kg for the supporting pylon, and stands 114 x 70 x 202 cm with a safety zone of 414 x 370 cm. It is the recovery station of the range: instead of loading a muscle group, it lets the user roll the back vertically against a set of rollers to release tension after training.
What it is for
Outdoor fitness trails are usually specified as a chain of effort stations, and the cool-down end of the session is left to chance. A massage station changes that. Users lean their back against the rollers and move vertically, working along the paraspinal muscles at their own pressure. There is no load, no technique to learn and no minimum fitness level, which is exactly why it also draws in walkers and older residents who would not approach a pull-up bar.
- Self-administered back massage, vertical movement against the rollers
- Encourages muscular relaxation and post-exercise recovery
- Difficulty rating: easy
- Minimum user height 140 cm, maximum user weight 150 kg
Reinforced Steel4Fit build
The frame is welded from high-grade steel: seamless S355 for curved sections, S235 for straight members. Everything is hot-dip galvanised and then powder-coated twice, a heavier protective system than the standard outdoor range and the reason this version is specified for schools, coastal locations and city-centre sites where equipment is used constantly. The finish is the red and graphite livery of the range, RAL 3000 and RAL 7016.

Placing it on a trail
Put the massage station at the end of the circuit rather than in the middle of the effort sequence, ideally near a bench or a shaded area. Because it requires no instruction and no supervision, it also works well as a standalone unit in a school yard or a residential courtyard where a full trail would not fit.
Frequently asked questions
Is there any hygiene concern with a shared massage surface?
The contact surfaces are galvanised and powder-coated steel, which is non-porous and can be washed down with the same routine used on the rest of the equipment. There is no fabric, foam or padding to retain moisture.
Does it count towards the required station mix?
It is classed as a relaxation station rather than a strength or cardio station, so most specifications treat it as an addition to the core circuit rather than a replacement for one of its exercises.
Can it be installed on its own?
Yes. It mounts on a support post like the rest of the OutdoorFit and Steel4Fit ranges, and the post can be sized for a single station where space is tight.
Tell us the site, the number of stations and the surfacing already in place, and we will return a quotation covering equipment, posts, freight and optional certified installation.
