Description

Two graduated lanes, numbered 1 to 9 on each side, with Start and Finish woven into the surface: the most complete track configuration in the range.

A miniature athletics track inside your conditioning zone

The Superior turf track gives a conditioning area the look and the logic of a real running track. Two lanes, a metre graduation numbered 1 to 9 on each side and Start and Finish markings at the ends turn distance into a permanent visual reference. That matters as much for how sessions are structured as for how the room looks to a member walking in for the first time.

Where the Superior earns its place

CrossFit boxes and HYROX gyms – a permanent conditioning lane. The coach calls a distance, the athlete reads it off the floor. Sprints, sled push, sled pull, bear crawls and farmer walks follow one another without resetting cones between every workout, and times stay comparable from session to session.

Strength and conditioning centres – standardised testing. A metre graduation lets you run speed protocols over a fixed distance: sprint repeats, acceleration tests, speed endurance work. The data stays usable over months because the distance no longer depends on where someone put the markers.

Weight rooms with a functional area – a legible floor plan. A marked lane defines the conditioning zone without a partition and discourages equipment from being parked on it. It is also an image statement: a marked track tells a visitor instantly that the gym is built around performance.

Clubs and return-to-running programmes – progressive protocols. When an athlete comes back to running, distance is the parameter to control before intensity. A graduation readable on the floor makes that progression measurable without a stopwatch or any extra equipment.

Materials and installation

Pro quality synthetic turf with a 16 mm fibre height, specified for intensive indoor use. The markings are integrated during manufacture rather than applied on top of the turf, so the numbering and lines do not wear off – and cannot be changed after delivery. The track is laid loose or fixed around its perimeter on a hard, flat floor: concrete, tiles or existing rubber flooring. Flatness of the substrate is the critical point, because any irregularity shows through the turf and is felt underfoot at speed.

Maintenance is straightforward: regular vacuuming, periodic brushing to lift the fibres, and washing with water and a neutral detergent. Avoid solvents and pressure washers on the marked areas.

What to know before ordering

The price is per square metre, not per linear metre. A 15 m by 2 m track is 30 m2. Work out the real surface before comparing offers, because a linear-metre price and a square-metre price are not directly comparable.

The marking plan is validated before production. Numbering and lines are part of the surface, so distances and layout have to be signed off before manufacture starts.

Turf does not take prolonged static loads. Fibres compress under rack feet, selectorised machines or anything left standing. Keep the lane clear of fixed equipment and plan weightlifting rubber tiles for machine and drop zones, or the wider rubber gym flooring range for the rest of the floor.

Fibre composition, backing, weight per square metre and fire classification are supplied on request. These figures drive delivery logistics and compliance in public-access buildings, so ask for the full technical data sheet before signing off a project that goes to a safety commission.

Frequently asked questions

Is the track delivered in one piece?

It depends on the dimensions ordered. Beyond a certain length the track ships as several widths to be joined on site. Send us your dimensions and we will confirm exactly how your configuration will be packed.

Can it be laid over existing rubber tiles?

Yes. It goes down on any hard, flat floor – concrete, tiles or rubber flooring. Substrate flatness is the point to check, since every irregularity transfers to the turf surface.

Which width should we choose?

The 1 m width option is not applicable on this reference. A 2 m width takes two athletes side by side or a wide sled; state the width you want when you request your quotation.

What does daily maintenance involve?

Vacuum regularly to remove dust and debris, brush the fibres periodically to lift them, and wash with water and a neutral detergent. No solvents and no pressure washing on the marked areas.

Is turf suitable for sled push and sled pull?

That is its main indoor use. Sled runners glide over the fibres in a controlled, repeatable way, where a rubber tile creates higher resistance that varies more from one pass to the next.
