The orange marble effect is an accent floor rather than a general-purpose one. Over a defined area – a stretching zone, a signature corner, a wall of images – the warm contrasted veining creates a focal point that neutral finishes simply do not produce. Used across an entire room it becomes loud; used on one zone it does exactly what it is for.

Who it is for
Group class studios and wellness areas: a finish that is meant to be seen. At 7 mm the tile delivers a clean, even floor in rooms where appearance counts: yoga and Pilates studios, group class rooms, stretching and mobility spaces. The four-sided interlock gives a continuous surface with no pronounced visible joint.
Hotel and residential fitness rooms: an alternative to black rubber. Stone and marble finishes let you equip a fitness space without the black rubber floor that instantly reads as a gym. This is the typical case for a hotel or residence fitness room, where the flooring has to sit alongside the decor of the common areas.
Reception areas, circulation routes and light cardio zones. The low thickness limits the step at thresholds and makes the junction with neighbouring floor coverings straightforward. It suits traffic areas, reception spaces and light cardio zones; it is not intended for heavy load zones.
Private studios and rented premises: installation without building work. The loose interlocked installation needs no adhesive and can be taken up again, which is what makes it workable in a leased unit or a temporary fit-out where the floor has to go back to its original state.
What to know before ordering
7 mm is not a shock absorption thickness. This tile is a finishing floor, not a protective floor against dropped loads. For weightlifting, barbell drops or rack zones you need a rubber tile of 20 to 40 mm. The two combine very well in the same gym, zone by zone.
Decorative finishes can vary slightly from one batch to another. On stone and marble effects a difference in shade between two production runs is possible. Order the complete surface in one go, cutting allowance included, rather than topping up later.
Allow for cutting waste and edges. A puzzle installation generates offcuts around the perimeter. Add a margin to the theoretical surface area and plan how the edges will be treated, where the interlocking teeth remain visible against the walls.
Density, material, fire classification and indentation resistance are not published. Those figures are requested in public-access venues and determine compatibility with heavy cardio machines. Ask us for the full technical data sheet before signing off your project.
Frequently asked questions
Does installation require adhesive?
No. The tiles interlock with each other on all four sides and rest freely on the substrate. Perimeter fixing can be useful over large areas or in heavy traffic zones, but it is not systematic.
Can the tiles be cut?
Yes, with a blade along the edges and around obstacles. Allow a material reserve: cutting consumes part of the surface area ordered.
Does the substrate need preparing?
The substrate must be clean, dry and level. At 7 mm an irregularity in the floor stays perceptible underfoot and can create play in the interlocks. A levelling compound may be needed on an old substrate.
Can cardio machines be installed on it?
At 7 mm, concentrated point loads mark the surface. For a treadmill or a rower, plan load-spreading plates under the feet, or set aside a zone in thick rubber tile. Contact us for the indentation resistance figure.
Why choose orange marble rather than a neutral finish?
Because it is meant to be seen. On a defined zone it does the work of signage: it says where the space changes purpose, without a partition and without floor markings that wear off.
