Description
105 litres of lockable storage for the small equipment that never stays where it belongs. The CR850 metal storage chest keeps dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, straps, guards, training bibs and accessories together in one place. In a gym, a cross-training box, a studio, a club or on an outdoor fitness area, it centralises loose kit and locks it away between two sessions. Pressed steel construction, made in France, built for daily collective use.
Security and handling on a shared floor
Two carrying handles sit on non-removable mounting plates, so a loaded chest is a controlled two-person carry. Reinforced hinges with a 95 degree opening stop hold the lid where you leave it instead of letting it fall back on the person loading it. The hasp takes a padlock (30 mm padlock available separately) so the contents stay under key between classes. Payload is 50 kg, which covers a full set of small weights and accessories.
Materials and set-up
The body is pressed steel sheet finished in RAL 7021 grey and manufactured in France. Depending on the model, dedicated accessories make the chest mobile or raised: a wheeled tray, a castor set, galvanised feet, an intermediate stacking tray or a carrying strap. This type of unit is also known as a site box, which is why it works just as well in a workshop or a plant room out of season.
The CR850 belongs to our metal storage chests range. If you need to move kit between venues rather than store it in one room, look at the metal storage trunks, and browse the full sports equipment storage category for the rest of the range.

Frequently asked questions
Is a padlock supplied with the chest?
No. The hasp is designed for a 30 mm padlock, available as an option. Facilities that already run a keyed-alike or coded padlock system usually prefer to keep their own.
How much can I actually put inside?
105 litres of volume and a 50 kg payload. In practice that is a set of small dumbbells and kettlebells, or a full box of straps, bands, guards and bibs for a group session.
Can a loaded chest be moved around the room?
The two handles are made for a two-person carry. For frequent moves, choose the wheeled tray or the castor set offered with the range rather than dragging the chest across the floor.
Can it be left on an outdoor fitness area?
It is used to centralise kit on outdoor areas as well as indoors, but no weather-exposure rating is published for this reference. Ask us before installing it permanently outside without shelter.
What is the difference with the CAN800 trunk?
The chest is deeper and narrower and is designed to stay in the storeroom, while the trunk is stackable and shaped for transport to tournaments and training camps. Payload also differs: 50 kg here.
