Metal Storage Chest 1000 x 480 x 365 mm - 175 L (CR1000)

175 litres, the widest chest of the range: the CR1000 takes folded mats, medicine balls and bulky accessories that will not fit in a narrow box.

Some equipment simply refuses to go into a slim chest. Discs, medicine balls, protective gear, folded mats and large volumes of accessories need width and depth, not just length. The CR1000 measures 1000 x 480 x 365 mm and is made in France from pressed steel, for gyms, cross-training boxes, studios, clubs, schools, municipal halls and outdoor fitness areas.

Width where it matters

At 480 mm wide and 365 mm deep, the CR1000 offers usable internal dimensions of 968 x 448 x 365 mm. That extra width is what lets a folded mat or a stack of medicine balls lie flat instead of being wedged in. Total volume is 175 L for an empty weight of 18.6 kg, in grey RAL 7021.

Locked between two sessions

Two carrying handles on non-removable plates, reinforced hinges with a 95 degrees opening stop and a hasp for a 30 mm padlock (supplied separately) secure the contents when the room is empty. Payload is 50 kg evenly distributed.

No sliding tray on this model

Unlike the CR600B and CR1035B, the CR1000 is supplied without a sliding tray: the whole 175 litres is one open volume, which is exactly what you want for bulky items. If you need a second level for small accessories, choose one of the tray models in the metal storage chests range instead.

Turn it into a mobile unit

The CR1000 is listed as supplied without a tray. Tell us what you want to store and we will confirm which chest of the range comes with the tray configuration you need.

Will a folded gym mat fit inside?

The usable footprint is 968 x 448 mm with 365 mm of height. Measure your mat folded before ordering, since folded thickness varies a lot from one mat to another.

Is the castor set compatible with this chest?

Yes. The 125 mm castor set is stated as compatible with the CR1000 and CR1048, in versions with or without a tray.

How does it compare with the 120-litre model?
