PICR1048 Intermediate Tray 1020 x 500 x 50 mm for Storage Chest

The largest tray in the range, for the chests that hold a whole department worth of kit.

This 1020 x 500 x 50 mm intermediate tray fits between two storage chests to stabilise the stack, or inside the chest as an additional storage level. At 500 mm wide it is the only tray in the range built for the deep chest formats, where the floor of the chest is far enough down that a single level becomes genuinely impractical.

Construction and fit

Pressed sheet metal matched to the chests, same finish, same tolerance. On a chest this size the case for a second level is stronger than on any other format: without it, reaching the bottom means unloading the top. Between two stacked chests, the tray spreads the contact and holds a heavy column square.

Compatibility: CR1000, CR1000B, CR1048 and CR1048B chests.

Why does one tray fit four chest references?

The CR1000 and CR1048 formats share the same internal width and rim, so a single tray covers both, in plain and B versions. It is the only tray in the range that does.

Can two trays be fitted in one chest?

The tray is designed as a single intermediate level. If you need finer separation, use compartment boxes on top of the tray rather than trying to stack trays inside one chest.

Is it heavy to lift out when loaded?

Empty it weighs 1.6 kg. Loaded across a metre of length it is a two-hand lift, so keep the heavy items below the tray and the light ones on it.
