Description
The Dragon Singapore playground stretches a low, sinuous climbing course over 17 m, inspired by the dragon play sculptures of Singapore’s estates. Built from hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel tube in 168.3 mm and 139.7 mm diameters, it offers children aged 3 to 14 a long traverse of nets, cables and a spectacular thick balancing rope.
The signature element: a 125 mm balancing rope
Running along the structure is a thick polypropylene balancing rope, 125 mm in diameter, fixed to the framework with cast-steel structural clamps. Walking, straddling and balancing along this oversized rope is a challenge younger children can attempt at low height, while older ones race across it — a rare feature that gives the unit its identity.
