Description
The Bodytone FR05 vertical bar rack stores up to 8 Olympic or training bars with 52 mm sleeves upright on a 27 kg robot-welded steel base with internal anti-scratch protection. It takes bars off the floor and racks of your strength zone and parks them safely in a fraction of a square metre.
Vertical storage: the space-saving logic
Stored horizontally, eight bars monopolise a wall or, worse, stay loaded on racks where they block training stations. Stored vertically in the FR05, the same eight bars occupy a compact floor spot, each one visible, dry and instantly grabbable. The internal anti-scratch protection matters more than it sounds: it is what preserves bar sleeves and coatings through thousands of daily insertions and withdrawals.

Protecting your bar investment
A commercial bar fleet often represents several thousand euros of precision equipment, and it degrades fastest through careless storage: sleeves dropped on concrete, knurling ground against rack steel, chrome pitting in floor moisture. Vertical storage in the FR05 addresses all three at once, and its internal anti-scratch lining is the detail that makes daily insertion and withdrawal harmless to sleeve finishes. For gyms tracking equipment lifespan, moving bars from floor storage to a dedicated rack is one of the cheapest measurable extensions of asset life available, at a fraction of the cost of replacing a single competition bar.
Frequently asked questions
Is the FR05 stable with only a few bars racked?
Yes. The 27 kg robot-welded base is dimensioned to stay planted whether the rack holds one bar or eight, and the non-slip feet prevent creeping on rubber or resin floors. Asymmetric loading, all bars on one side, does not tip the geometry, so no wall fixing is required in normal gym use.
Which bars fit the FR05?
Olympic and training bars with standard 52 mm sleeves: 20 kg and 15 kg bars, technique bars and specialty bars of comparable sleeve diameter, up to 8 units.
Does vertical storage damage the bars?
Not in the FR05: the internal anti-scratch protection prevents sleeve wear, and upright storage keeps knurling and sleeves off the floor, away from moisture and impacts, which actually extends bar life compared with floor storage.
Where should the rack stand?
Beside the platforms or power racks it serves, against a wall where possible. A short walking path between rack and station is what makes members re-rack bars consistently.
