A dynamic floor that returns energy

An air track sits between a sprung gymnastics floor and a trampoline. The 30 cm air cushion absorbs the landing and returns part of it, so an athlete jumps higher than on a sprung floor while the joints take almost none of the impact. That combination is what makes it the standard training surface for tumbling passes, where the athlete has to chain eight consecutive acrobatic elements without breaking rhythm.

The surface stays flat and even along its whole length, which is what gives the take offs their stability and precision. Landings are consistent from one end to the other, so an athlete can repeat a skill dozens of times without the surface changing under them.

Autonomous inflation

Once inflated, the track holds its pressure for more than a week. In practice this means the blower is used at set up and then put away: a club can leave the track in place across several sessions, and a travelling coach does not have to plan inflation time into every booking.

The track is light enough to be handled, rolled and transported by one or two people, and it can be set up indoors or outdoors on any flat surface.

Does the track have to be reinflated before every session?

No. It holds its pressure for more than a week, so the blower is only needed at set up or after the track has been stored deflated. A quick pressure check before a session is enough.

Which thickness should be chosen?

30 cm is the general purpose thickness: enough rebound for tumbling passes, enough damping for landings. Thinner tracks are firmer and closer to a competition floor, thicker ones are more forgiving for learning. Other lengths, widths, thicknesses and colours are available, so tell us the discipline and the level of your athletes.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, on a flat surface free of sharp objects. The equipment is designed to be transported and set up wherever it is needed, indoors or outdoors, which is why it is widely used for demonstrations and outdoor training camps.
