Description
This air tumbling track measures 15 m long by 2 m wide by 30 cm thick and provides a dynamic inflatable surface for acrobatic training with no impact on the joints. It gives more rebound than a sprung gymnastics floor or a trampoline while keeping a flat, stable working surface, which is what allows an athlete to link several acrobatic elements in sequence with consistent take-off.
The 15 m length is the working length for combination work. Competitive tumbling runs are performed on a 25 m track where athletes complete eight consecutive acrobatic elements without breaking rhythm, with only the hands and feet permitted to touch the surface. A 15 m track carries a full training sequence in the space most clubs actually have, which is why it is the length most often specified for gymnastics halls, martial arts clubs and multi-discipline training rooms.
The track holds its pressure for more than a week once inflated, so the blower is not needed during use and the surface is ready when a session starts. It is easy to move and to store, which suits shared halls where the floor has to be cleared between activities. Beyond artistic gymnastics, the same equipment is used for tricking, martial arts, parkour, breakdance and any discipline that develops acrobatic skill and needs a forgiving landing surface.

Installing an air track in a training hall
An air track needs run-off at both ends and clear width on both sides, so the usable hall length has to exceed the 15 m of the track itself by a comfortable margin. Ceiling height is the other constraint and the one most often overlooked: the whole point of the surface is that athletes go higher than they do on a sprung floor. Check the clear height above the landing area, not above the run-up. The track sits on the existing floor with no fixing, which makes it a practical addition to a shared hall, but the floor beneath should be clean and free of anything sharp before each installation. If you are equipping a full acrobatic area rather than adding one track, we will size the combination of lengths and thicknesses from your hall dimensions free of charge.
Frequently asked questions
Does the track need to stay connected to a blower?
No. It holds pressure for over a week, so it is inflated before a training block and used without the blower running, which also keeps the hall quiet.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. The surface removes the joint impact of a hard floor and suits every build, so it is used by beginners learning basic elements as much as by advanced gymnasts linking sequences.
Can other sizes be supplied?
The range covers several lengths, widths, thicknesses and colours, including 3 m, 5 m and 8 m tracks. Tell us your hall dimensions and the disciplines involved and we will propose the combination on the quotation.
