Description
This air tumbling track measures 3 m long by 2 m wide with a 20 cm inflated thickness, the profile clubs use for technique and repetition work. It holds pressure for more than a week between inflations, rolls up for storage and transport, and is supplied by Light In Fitness at 950 EUR excluding VAT.
The thickness that teaches technique
Twenty centimetres of air sits closer to the ground and returns less energy than a deeper track, and both of those are advantages when the objective is control rather than height. The surface stays predictable, the athlete can feel where the body line is, and take-off angles can be corrected repetition after repetition without the platform amplifying every error. That is why coaches who run acrobatic progressions specify 20 cm for the learning phase and reserve the deeper profile for connected passes and height work. It is also the profile a school or leisure operator should choose when the track will be used by mixed groups with no specialist supervision.
- Stable, predictable surface for drilling technique
- Still eliminates joint impact compared with a sprung floor or mat
- Holds pressure for over a week, so the blower is not used during sessions
- One person can move, roll and store it
- Suits beginners and advanced gymnasts alike
Beyond gymnastics
The 3 x 2 m format has become standard equipment well outside artistic gymnastics: martial arts clubs use it for throws and kick progressions, tricking and freerunning athletes for twisting drills, breakdancers for power moves, and parkour coaches for landing practice. Three metres is a training pad rather than a competition runway, which is precisely what makes it fit a corner of an existing hall, a dance studio or a school gymnasium where a full-length track is impossible.

Frequently asked questions
Should a club buy 20 cm or 30 cm?
Twenty centimetres for teaching, drilling and mixed-ability sessions; thirty for height, rebound and linked acrobatic sequences. Clubs that can afford both run them side by side and move athletes across as body position becomes reliable. If only one track is possible and the group includes beginners, 20 cm is the safer specification.
What surface can it be laid on?
Any clean, level indoor floor, and outdoors on grass or clean synthetic surfaces once the ground has been checked for stones. Abrasive surfaces such as tarmac or gravel will damage the base fabric, so use a groundsheet. Avoid leaving it fully inflated in direct sun, since heat expands the air inside.
How long does setting up take?
Two to three minutes with the supplied blower from rolled to working pressure, and it stays usable for over a week without topping up. Deflating and rolling for storage takes about the same. One person can handle the 3 x 2 m format without help.
