Description
The Air Tumbling track measuring 15 m x 2 m x 20 cm is an inflatable acrobatic runway for gymnastics clubs, martial arts schools and multi sport halls. Inflated to working pressure it gives a flat, dynamic take off surface that returns energy on impulse, so athletes can chain skills with more height than a sprung gymnastics floor or a trampoline while loading the joints far less. The 20 cm thickness is the standard competition style depth, and the 15 m length allows a full tumbling pass to be rehearsed in a single run.
Tumbling, from the English verb to tumble, is an exclusively acrobatic discipline performed on a dynamic runway on which athletes link eight consecutive skills without interruption or loss of rhythm, with only hand and foot contact permitted. Beyond artistic gymnastics, the same track is now used for tricking, parkour, freerunning, breakdance and martial arts, where the priority is repeating high impact landings safely during a long session.

Installing and using the track in a sports hall
A 15 m track needs a clear run of at least 15 m plus a landing and deceleration zone at the end, so allow around 20 m of usable hall length before ordering this size. Width should be planned at 2 m for the track itself plus a free margin either side so a coach can spot from the runway edge. The surface underneath must be flat, clean and free of grit; a sports hall floor, a foam base or a gymnastics carpet all work.
Because the track holds pressure for over a week, most clubs inflate it at the start of a training block and leave it in place, which removes the noise and setup time of a permanently connected blower. Pressure can be tuned to the group: softer for beginners learning basic rotations, firmer for experienced tumblers who need a fast rebound. When the session ends the track deflates and rolls into a bag small enough for a car boot, which is what makes it the practical choice for clubs sharing a hall or running outreach sessions across several sites.
Frequently asked questions
Does the track need a blower running during training?
No. It is self contained and stays inflated for more than a week once brought to pressure. The blower is used to inflate and to top up between training blocks, not continuously, so there is no noise or trailing cable on the training floor.
Which sizes are available?
The Air Tumbling range covers several lengths, widths, thicknesses and colours. Shorter versions of 3 m, 5 m and 8 m in the same 2 m x 20 cm section are available where hall length is limited or where a club wants a warm up strip alongside the main runway.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. The surface is easy to handle and works for all body sizes, from first year gymnasts to competitive tumblers, because inflation pressure sets how firm the rebound feels. It removes joint impact compared with a hard floor, which is why it is widely used for high repetition skill work.
