Description
The Active Play Set P5036 is a children’s obstacle and balance course certified to EN 1176-1:2017-12. It takes the logic of adult obstacle training and rescales it for younger users, giving playgrounds, schools, campsites and municipal parks a route that develops strength, balance and coordination through play rather than through fixed apparatus.
The set is composed of distinct elements arranged as a circuit. A rope climbing wall with suspended discs opens the course and works agility and grip at height. A curved net bridge in the centre creates an unstable traverse that children either crawl or walk across, which builds motor control and confidence. Low curved walkways with handrails give a gentler balance task at ground level for the youngest users. Round balance discs are spaced across the middle and right of the layout for jumping and speed games, an inclined leaf shaped stepper ladder adds a climbing sequence, and a vertical crossing net with a handrail closes the circuit as an unstable balance bridge.
Each unit can be installed on its own, but the range is designed to be combined. Operators commonly pair the P5036 with a rope climbing net, a woodland play set and spring riders to build a complete activity zone from a single supplier and a single inspection regime.

Specifying the set for a public playground
Certification to EN 1176-1 covers the equipment; the operator remains responsible for the installation and the surfacing beneath it. Impact absorbing surfacing is selected against the free height of fall of each element and tested to EN 1177, so the climbing wall and the net bridge drive the specification rather than the ground level walkways. Plan the circuit so that fall zones do not overlap with circulation routes or with adjacent play equipment, and leave a waiting area at the entry point of the course. Once installed, a documented inspection routine is required: a visual check at each opening, a more detailed operational inspection at set intervals and an annual main inspection. Our team supplies the layout drawing, the surfacing calculation and the inspection schedule with the technical proposal, and issues quotations within 24 working hours.
Frequently asked questions
What age group is the set designed for?
The elements are scaled for children and are typically installed in mixed age playgrounds. The recommended age range and the free height of fall of each element are confirmed with the layout study.
Can we install only part of the set?
Yes. Each unit works as a standalone item, which is useful when a playground is developed in phases or when budget is released across two financial years.
Is a discount available on larger orders?
Yes. Additional discounts apply from ten units. Contact us with the schedule of quantities and we will price the full project.
