Description

The Street Workout Cage Z3 occupies 5.10 by 5.6 metres, stands 3.1 metres high and has a free fall height of 2.6 metres. It carries pull-up bars, five ladders, two double push-up bars, an exercise bench and a climbing tube, and requires an 8.60 by 9.6 metre safety zone. The price is 12,500 EUR excluding VAT.

Within the Z range the Z3 sits between the Z2 and the Z4. Its distinguishing feature is the ladder count: five vertical and horizontal ladders on a five metre square footprint means several traverse lines in a compact area, which is the configuration to choose when the priority is grip and upper body volume rather than variety of station types.

Height and free fall height match the rest of the range, so the training ceiling is the same as on the larger cages.

Site requirements and upkeep

The safety zone of 8.60 by 9.6 metres is around 83 m2, considerably more than the 29 m2 the structure itself covers. That difference is the falling space, and it has to remain clear on every side. Where a site is tight, this is the figure that decides whether the Z3 or the smaller Z2 is the right reference.

Surfacing must be impact attenuating and certified for a critical fall height of at least 2.6 metres under EN 1177. Bonded rubber gym flooring tiles of 40 to 65 mm, wet pour EPDM at the appropriate depth, or synthetic turf on a rated shock pad all meet that requirement; thinner tile systems do not.

Posts are anchored on base plates into concrete foundations or bolted to a sound slab. In service, the stainless bars, ladders and climbing tube need only cleaning, while the powder coated posts and the plywood bench panel are the components to check for impact damage and water ingress at inspection.

Frequently asked questions

How does it compare with the Z2 and the Z4?

All three share a 3.1 metre height and a 2.6 metre free fall height. The Z2 covers 5.91 by 4.77 metres with three ladders and rings, the Z3 5.10 by 5.6 metres with five ladders and a bench, and the Z4 8.96 by 9.12 metres with six ladders and jump boxes.

How much clear ground is required?

Approximately 83 m2 for the 8.60 by 9.6 metre safety zone, all of it surfaced to a critical fall height of 2.6 metres.

Is the bench weatherproof?

The bench panel is 15 mm waterproof plywood, specified for outdoor exposure, and it is a replaceable component if it is damaged.
