Description
The Space Capsule rope play pyramid pairs a 4.5 m rope climbing pyramid with a space capsule mounted at its summit, completed by a tube slide starting at 5.0 m. Supplied and installed throughout France by Light In Fitness.
Climb to the capsule, slide back to Earth
The narrative writes itself: children scale the rope pyramid, reach the capsule at the top, and return by the enclosed tube slide from 5 m up. That one-way loop – climb, arrive, descend – keeps traffic flowing in a single direction, which matters on busy afternoons, and the capsule silhouette at 8.3 m total height gives the play area a science-fiction landmark visible across the site.

Frequently asked questions
How does the free fall height stay at 2.0 m on an 8.3 m structure?
The pyramid’s net geometry is engineered so that a climber can never fall further than 2.0 m at any point, and the enclosed tube secures the descent from 5.0 m. The impact-zone surfacing is specified to EN 1176-1 on that basis.
How does the Space Capsule compare with the House of Cards pyramid?
Both follow the same climb-and-slide formula. The Space Capsule is slightly more compact (18.3 x 11.4 m against 16.5 x 11.0 m for a taller card-themed unit) and carries a space theme rather than a casino-graphic one – the choice is purely a matter of site identity.
What ground preparation is required?
Foundations to 1.0 m depth and machinery access for the installation phase, both scoped during the free layout study.
