Viking Ship Rope Play Boat

In brief — Viking Ship Rope Play Boat: dimensions 2930 × 1150 × 580 cm, free fall height 3,0 m, age range 5 to 14 years, safety area 32,4 x 16,1 m, standards EN 1176, certification certificate of conformity from an independent certification body, price on quotation.

The Viking Ship is a rope play boat styled after a drakkar, built from a bow, a stern and a central section. The structure is finished in wood tones while ropes and connectors take a beige shade recalling natural sisal. Supplied and installed throughout France by Light In Fitness.

A longship that belongs in the landscape

The Viking Ship trades bright plastic colours for a deliberately natural palette: wood-tone framework, sisal-look beige rigging. The result sits comfortably in tree-lined parks and heritage settings where saturated colours would jar – yet at 29.3 m from bow to stern and 5.8 m tall, it remains an unmistakable adventure ship. Children board by the gangways, work through the rope networks between the three sections, and command the bow and stern castles.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood-tone finish actually timber?

The structure is finished in wood tones with sisal-look ropes to achieve a natural appearance; the exact material build-up for your configuration is detailed at the layout study, along with maintenance guidance.

Why choose the Viking Ship over the Whaler?

Both are three-section play ships of similar scale. The Viking Ship suits sites wanting a natural, heritage-friendly palette; the Whaler carries an industrial blue-grey-red livery. Footprint differences are modest – 29.3 x 11.5 m against 27.8 x 10.3 m.

What is included in the project?

Free layout study, delivery anywhere in France, installation by our teams, professional warranty and continued availability of wear parts – the standard Light In Fitness project scope.
