Description

The 24 ft wall mounted cross competition rig is the largest wall structure in the stainless steel range, turning a long stretch of facade into a training zone built to competition standards. Wall anchoring saves the ground area a freestanding rig would occupy: only the working depth in front of the structure is committed. Over its full length the rig aligns pull-up, hanging and ring stations. The list price is 7,299 EUR excluding VAT.

The cross competition range applies the reference points of competition structures, upright spacing, grips and working heights, in a stainless build made for permanent weather exposure. Maintenance is limited to cleaning and a periodic check of the fixings, with no coating to renew.

Turning an existing facade into a training zone

Sites with a long usable wall are the natural candidates: barracks with a drill yard facade, sports halls and clubs with an unused external elevation, schools and campuses with a covered play area or gable end, and municipalities wanting a sports facility integrated into existing buildings rather than occupying open ground.

The economics are different from a freestanding rig of the same length. There is no foundation to pour across a 7.3 m run and no plot to reserve, so the ground stays available for other uses and the civil works shrink to the impact absorbing surface in front of the structure. Against that, the wall itself has to be capable of taking the loads, and users work in one direction only rather than from both sides.

At this length the rig supports coached group sessions: several users work identical stations along the wall simultaneously, in waves, which is the format used for physical preparation and fitness testing. Where the installation is freely accessible, apply the EN 16630 safety zone and an EN 1177 surface sized on the free fall height, typically bonded rubber gym flooring tiles of 40 to 65 mm.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of wall is needed for a 24 ft rig?

A load bearing wall able to take the pull-out and shear forces generated across the full run. Light In Fitness surveys the structure and specifies the fixings during the free layout study, before the quotation is issued.

How does it compare with the freestanding 24 ft rig?

Same length and the same competition standards, but no foundation and no ground plot to reserve. The freestanding version is chosen where no suitable wall exists or where users need access from both sides.

How much clear space is required in front?

The working depth of the stations plus the safety zone required on a freely accessible site. The figure comes from the layout study. Light In Fitness has manufactured in Tours since 2013 and returns quotations within 24 working hours.
