Description
The Optimum is a large outdoor strength and calisthenics structure combining six distinct training areas on one frame. It is specified for municipalities, companies, military bases, sports clubs and large private grounds that want a complete open air training station rather than an isolated pull up bar.
The workstations are a battle bar, middle racks, a monkey ladder, a dip station, climbing holds and a six pack dip. That combination covers pulling, pushing, hanging travel, core work and climbing, so a group can train together on the same structure without waiting for a single bar. The layout suits both static strength work, with no acrobatic element required, and the dynamic calisthenics and street workout movements practised in competition. Beginners and experienced athletes use the same frame at different stations.
Weather protection follows our standard outdoor process. Cold formed steel tube gives high tensile strength and carries a corrosion resistant internal coating. Externally the tubes receive hot dip zinc, a chromate conversion coating, washing and sanitising, then an oven baked powder coat that bonds molecularly to the substrate. The polyester topcoat holds light stable pigments for UV resistance and colour retention, and stainless steel components are used to prevent rust where exposure is highest.

Choosing a site for a large outdoor station
The Optimum needs space. Its size is what allows six workstations and simultaneous group use, but it rules out small courtyards and narrow verges. In free access installations, a park, a municipal fitness area or a school ground, the structure falls under EN 16630, which requires a clear peripheral safety zone and an impact absorbing surface to EN 1177 sized against the free height of fall. On private closed sites those requirements remain the reference for good practice. Orientation matters too: place the monkey ladder and climbing holds away from the prevailing afternoon sun where possible, and keep the dip and battle bar stations visible from a supervised point. Anchorage is either into purpose made concrete foundations through base plates or onto an existing slab. Our team supplies the implantation study, the anchorage drawing and the surfacing calculation.
Frequently asked questions
What footprint does the structure need?
Overall dimensions and the resulting safety zone are supplied with the implantation study prepared for your site before the order is confirmed.
Can several people train at once?
Yes. The six workstations are laid out so a group can train simultaneously, which is why the model is chosen for clubs, companies and military sites.
How durable is the finish outdoors?
The multi stage treatment is specified for permanent outdoor exposure, and our steel structures carry a 20 year warranty.
