Description

The Orbitrek kids outdoor elliptical trainer is a children’s cardio station supplied and installed throughout France by Light In Fitness. Its closed elliptical path guides the feet through a continuous stride: the pedals never release the feet and the torso stays stable behind a fixed handlebar.

The workhorse of every children’s fitness area

Ask site managers which machine children use most, and the elliptical wins. The reason is mechanical: the guided path makes the correct movement the only possible movement, so no adult instruction is needed, and the absence of impact means children can keep striding far longer than they could run on hard ground. That combination – self-teaching and fatigue-friendly – makes the Orbitrek the natural central post of a children’s course.

What the child works

  • Quadriceps and glutes
  • Hamstrings
  • Calves
  • Cardio-respiratory system

Why choose this model

  • Guided path: the movement stays correct even without adult supervision
  • Zero joint impact, unlike running on hard ground
  • The most used cardio station of a children’s fitness area
  • Fixed handlebar secures the balance of the youngest users

Two compliance versions: EN 16630 or EN 1176

The Orbitrek is available in an EN 16630 version (free-access outdoor fitness equipment, for users of at least 1.40 m) and an EN 1176 version (playground equipment standard, with EN 1177 surfacing where free fall height requires it). The version is selected from the administrative classification of your space and confirmed before quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the elliptical usually placed at the centre of a course?

Because it is the station children return to between other exercises – endurance work is naturally repeatable. Placing it centrally shortens the path from every other post and spreads use across the area.

How does it differ from the illustrated-panel version?

Mechanically they are identical. The illustrated version adds a solid decorated side panel; this classic version keeps the open frame and is available in both EN 16630 and EN 1176 compliance routes.

Can adults use the children’s Orbitrek?

The station is dimensioned for children. For mixed-age areas, we typically pair it with an adult elliptical from the main outdoor range a few metres away.
