Description

Doubling the thickness changes what the mat is for. At 20 mm, the bony contact points – knees, elbows, hips, spine – stop feeling the hardness of the floor.

This is the thickness to specify as soon as kneeling work goes on for any length of time. In 120 x 50 cm it stays compact to store despite the extra volume, which is what makes it workable for a class studio that has to put forty mats away between two sessions.

Moulded surface, eyelets fitted as standard

The visible face carries a moulded non-slip relief rather than a smooth finish, and the hanging eyelets are built in from the outset. That combination is what makes the mat practical in collective use: it hangs on a wall bracket, it drains and dries faster after cleaning, and it goes back into circulation for the next class instead of lying damp in a pile. Marking is done by laser and can be customised.

Where it earns its place

Class studios, as a self-service mat fleet. Formats from 120 to 180 cm cover the whole of floor-based teaching: core work, stretching, Pilates, strength work, mobility. A consistent fleet makes storage, counting and unit replacement straightforward.

Weight rooms, for the stretching and core zone. An individual mat avoids direct contact with the gym floor and improves perceived hygiene. It is a low-cost item that weighs on member satisfaction out of all proportion to its price.

Physiotherapy, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. Supervised floor work needs a mat that is stable, cleanable and wide enough. Across the range, the 60 cm widths suit prolonged work lying down.

Branding to match your facility. A logo, printed or engraved depending on the model, turns a consumable into a brand asset visible in every class and in the room photos you publish.

What to check before ordering

The price is per mat, not per m2. Each reference is one mat, in a given format and thickness. Budget on the number of mats in the fleet, not on a surface area.

10 mm or 20 mm. 10 mm suits core work, stretching and ordinary floor classes. 20 mm gives higher comfort for prolonged kneeling or on bony contact points, at the cost of taking more room in storage.

Customisation drives lead time and minimum order. A printed or engraved logo means a dedicated production run. Send us your vector logo to get the lead time, the minimum quantity and the finish that apply to your order.

Material, density and fire classification are not published. These may be requested in a public-access building, so ask for the full technical data sheet if your facility falls under that regime.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the smooth and the moulded surface?

The smooth surface with rounded edges takes a printed logo and gives a plain finish. The moulded surface has a non-slip relief, hanging eyelets and laser marking. The moulded model hangs up and dries faster after cleaning; the smooth model gives a cleaner finish. Compare them in the smooth surface exercise mats section.

Are the eyelets included?

Yes, they are fitted as standard on moulded surface mats. On smooth surface mats they are an option charged at 1.40 EUR excluding VAT per mat.

Which format should I choose for a group class?

140 x 60 cm and 160 x 60 cm are the most versatile formats for an adult doing floor work. The 120 x 50 cm stays compact for constrained spaces and circuits; 180 x 60 cm suits larger builds and full lying work.

How do I store a fleet of mats?

Two complementary solutions: the storage unit, which holds twenty 10 mm mats, and wall brackets, which hang mats by their eyelets and free up floor space. Both are in the gym storage furniture range. Note that the stated capacity of twenty refers to 10 mm mats, so allow for the extra bulk of a 20 mm fleet.

What upkeep does it need?

Wipe with soapy water or a compatible surface disinfectant, then dry flat or hanging. In collective use, cleaning after every session is the recommended practice.
