Description
This waist and core trainer is a galvanised steel fitness trail station designed for rotation exercises of the waist and abdominal girdle, for permanent outdoor installation. It belongs to the galvanised steel range B, the option chosen where a municipality wants trail equipment that needs almost no maintenance and tolerates unsupervised public use.
The frame is galvanised steel, specified for resistance to corrosion, weather and wear. Standing surfaces are non slip and the equipment is supplied with detailed installation instructions. It suits parks, gardens, school grounds and open air sports facilities, and it is used by all ages and fitness levels because the movement is guided by the user body weight rather than by an added load.
A waist station is normally installed alongside cardio and upper body stations so that a circuit covers mobility, cardiovascular work and strength. Placed on its own it serves as a warm up point at the entrance of a trail.

Steel or timber for a public trail
Galvanised steel and treated timber are the two families used for outdoor fitness trails, and the choice is usually about setting and maintenance rather than about the exercise. Steel stations tolerate intensive use and vandalism better and need no refinishing, which is why they dominate urban parks and school grounds. Timber stations are preferred in protected or wooded settings for their appearance.
Circuit design matters more than any individual station. Six to ten stations spaced along an existing path, each addressing a different movement, produce a usable circuit; a single station in isolation rarely changes behaviour on a site.
Frequently asked questions
What are the overall dimensions?
Dimensions and the clear area required around the station are confirmed in the implantation study for your site, which is issued with the quotation when you send a plan.
Is any load adjustment needed?
No. The exercise uses the body weight of the user, so the station requires no setting and no supervision between users.
What corrosion protection is applied?
The structure is galvanised steel. Confirm the galvanising specification with our technical team for coastal or de iced sites, where exposure is more severe.
