Description
This outdoor running station is built from hot-dip galvanised steel and designed to stay in place year-round without shelter. It belongs to the full galvanised range B of fitness trail equipment, and its role on a circuit is cardio: raising heart rate and cardio-pulmonary capacity between the strength stations rather than loading a muscle group.
What the station trains
The stepping and running action develops lower-limb mobility while demanding coordination and balance, which is why it is often placed early on a trail as an activation station. Effort is entirely self-regulated, with no settings, keys or resistance adjustment, so it works for a beginner walking through the movement and for a runner using it as an interval station.
- Improves lower-limb mobility, coordination and balance
- Raises cardio-pulmonary capacity
- Open to all fitness levels, no supervision required
- Non-slip surfaces and rounded corners throughout
Why hot-dip galvanised steel
Galvanising bonds a zinc layer to the steel, so protection is metallurgical rather than a coating sitting on top of the surface. A scratch from a bicycle pedal or a skateboard does not open a corrosion path the way it does on painted steel alone. That is the reason the structure carries a 20-year warranty and why this range is specified for coastal sites, for areas treated with de-icing salt, and for locations where maintenance visits are infrequent.

Where it is installed
Public parks and community fitness areas take the largest share, followed by schools and colleges where the station supports PE programmes and free play. It is also specified for outdoor fitness centres extending an existing installation, and occasionally for private grounds such as hotels and residences. Prepare a stable, level base, use the anchors supplied, and add the station to the periodic inspection routine already covering the rest of the equipment.
Frequently asked questions
Does it stay outdoors all year?
Yes. Hot-dip galvanising is designed for permanent outdoor exposure, including frost, rain and salt-laden air. No seasonal dismantling or covering is required.
Is the finish painted?
This range is specified galvanised, which gives the characteristic matt grey surface. Where a colour is required to match a site charter, ask us for the painted galvanised ranges instead and we will quote the RAL options.
How is it fixed to the ground?
Anchors and fixings are supplied with detailed instructions. The ground must be stable and level before installation, and the fixings should be checked at every periodic inspection.
Send us the site plan, the number of stations and the surfacing already in place, and we will return a full trail quotation covering equipment, freight and installation options.
