Description
This upper body mobility station uses two rotating wheels on a galvanised steel frame to work the shoulders, arms and back through a full range of movement. The wheels turn freely, so the exercise is about range and coordination rather than load, and it can be used by anyone who arrives at the trail without instruction or setting up.
The frame is high quality galvanised steel, resistant to corrosion and weather, with non slip surfaces and rounded corners. Detailed installation instructions and fixings are supplied. The station belongs to the galvanised steel fitness trail range B, intended for parks, gardens and open air sports facilities in permanent unsupervised installation.
Shoulder wheels are one of the few outdoor stations that are equally useful in a municipal park, in the grounds of a residential care home and on a rehabilitation circuit, because the movement is the same one used in physiotherapy to restore shoulder range after immobilisation.

Mobility stations and mixed public sites
The stations that get used on a public trail are the ones that ask nothing of the user before they start. A wheel station has no seat to adjust, no weight to select and no correct technique to learn, which is why it works on sites with a very mixed public: parks, campsites, hospital and care home grounds, school playgrounds used by families outside school hours.
Position the station where it is visible from a path. Visibility is the main practical deterrent against misuse on an unsupervised site, and it also encourages first time users to try the equipment.
Frequently asked questions
Can the station be used from a seated position?
The station is designed for standing use. For circuits that must be usable by wheelchair users, we supply dedicated accessible stations with the appropriate approach clearances.
What are the overall dimensions?
Dimensions and the clear area required are issued in the implantation study for your site rather than published as a generic figure.
Do the bearings require servicing?
The wheels turn on bearings that are checked at the periodic inspection of the trail. No lubrication schedule is imposed between inspections.
