The FLEX aluminium is the most affordable station in the range and the only one to combine a metal chassis with folding. It measures 237 cm open, folds to 135 x 68 x 40 cm and weighs 68 kg. Price: 1,450 EUR excluding VAT.

Aluminium and folding, for rooms with constraints

An aluminium chassis does not move with humidity and takes frequent cleaning without needing fasteners retightened. Combined with folding, it answers the case where the reformer has to disappear between two slots: a municipal sports hall, a shared practice, a hotel wellness space whose room changes use during the day.

Wood expands and contracts with the seasons; aluminium does not. In a basement, next to a pool or in any room where the humidity is not controlled, that is the deciding argument.

Folding aluminium chassis, padded box, jumpboard, padded 7 position footbar, padded foot platform, one set of rigid padded handles, two hand and foot straps, padded shoulder rests, five precision springs, a set of pulley ropes and a pair of transport wheels. Available in black, grey or white.

Where it sits in the range

At 1,450 EUR excluding VAT the aluminium FLEX is the entry point of our reformer line. The wooden FLEX folds smaller, to 120 x 66 x 37 cm, and gives a warmer finish in a studio; the fixed ESSENTIAL and TRACK models are built for studios running eight to ten sessions a day on the same station. The aluminium FLEX is the one to choose when the machine has to be put away between sessions and the room is not climate controlled.

How much storage volume is needed?

Folded, the machine occupies 135 x 68 x 40 cm. A service cupboard, a corridor recess or a free wall is enough. The built in wheels mean the 68 kg does not have to be carried to its storage position.

Why five springs rather than six?

The set covers 2 strong, 2 medium and 1 light, which spans the resistances the standard repertoire needs. Fixed studio models carry six springs to allow finer combinations under intensive use.

Does the aluminium chassis cope with a humid environment?

Aluminium does not respond to humidity and carries no risk of swelling or shrinkage, unlike wood. It is the right choice for a basement room or one adjoining a wet area.
