Description
The AERO reformer replaces timber with an anodised aluminium alloy frame and comes down to 68 kg, around thirty kilograms less than an equivalent wooden model. The carriage runs on steel rails mounted on ball bearings, a mechanical solution that is indifferent to humidity and to repeated cleaning cycles.
The choice between aluminium and timber is a decision about the room rather than about the exercise. Anodised aluminium does not move with humidity and needs no retightening as timber shrinks and swells, which is an argument for a poorly insulated room, a basement studio or a space adjoining a wet area such as a pool or a spa. The 68 kg weight also makes it realistic to reorganise a multi purpose room between two bookings.
Solid timber keeps the advantage on inertial mass and on the visual result expected in a studio positioned at the premium end. So the decision comes down as much to the constraints of the building as to the image of the business, and many studios end up with both.

Equipment supplied and studio use
The machine is delivered with the aluminium frame, a padded box, a jumpboard, a padded foot bar with 6 positions, a padded foot platform, a set of rigid foam padded handles, two hand and foot straps, padded shoulder rests, six precision springs, a set of pulley ropes and a pair of transport wheels.
Two specification details are worth noting for a professional buyer. The 40 cm jumpboard standard means accessories and teaching material designed to that dimension transfer directly, which is not the case with every reformer on the market. And the anti perspiration vinyl upholstery is what allows a machine to be wiped between clients through a full teaching day without the covering degrading.
Delivery covers France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, with export quoted per project. Dispatch from stock is typically 5 to 10 working days.
Frequently asked questions
Is aluminium as stable as wood under load?
The frame is rated to a 150 kg maximum user load. Timber retains an advantage on inertial mass, which some instructors prefer, but the aluminium frame is unaffected by humidity.
How many springs are supplied?
Six precision springs: two heavy, two medium and two light.
Is the machine easy to move between classes?
Yes. At 68 kg with transport wheels included, it is moved by one person, which suits multi purpose rooms.
