When a folding reformer is the right answer
Three situations justify it. A multi purpose room that hosts Pilates for two slots a day and something else the rest of the time. A physiotherapy practice where the reformer shares the room with a treatment table. A home studio where 2.40 m cannot be permanently given over to one machine.
Folding costs nothing in function: it is the chassis that folds, not the working station. Carriage travel and every adjustment are unchanged, and the built in wheels let the folded machine be rolled to its storage position rather than carried.

Frequently asked questions
How long does folding take?
A few seconds once the movement is familiar. The chassis tips and locks in the upright position, then the built in wheels let the machine be rolled to where it is stored.
Does folding weaken the machine?
Maximum user weight stays at 150 kg, the same as the fixed frame models in the range. The folding joint is mechanically locked in the open position, so it carries no working load during a session.
How does the wooden version compare with the aluminium one?
The wooden version weighs 70 kg and folds to 120 x 66 x 37 cm. The aluminium version weighs 68 kg and folds to a slightly larger 135 x 68 x 40 cm. Wood gives a warmer finish in a studio; aluminium tolerates humidity better, which matters next to a pool or a spa.
Is it suitable for daily professional use?
Yes for a practice or a multi purpose room with moderate turnover. For a studio running eight to ten sessions a day on the same station, our fixed frame ESSENTIAL and TRACK models are better dimensioned.
Every configuration is priced according to the number of stations, the finish chosen and delivery constraints. A layout plan is provided free of charge from four stations, technical support responds within 48 hours and spare parts are available within five days. Compare the range on the professional Pilates reformers page and send us your project for a written quotation.
