Description
The Bodytone Cloud Nine is a 20 kg Olympic barbell of 2200 mm with eight high precision bearings, a double copper bushing and a dark blue QPQ finish. It is the competition format bar, intended for weightlifting, strength work and explosive movements in professional facilities.
Rotation quality is what separates a training bar from a technical one. Eight bearings combined with the double copper bushing keep the sleeves turning freely under load, which is what allows the bar to rotate in the hand during a clean or a snatch instead of resisting the wrist. The 28 mm grip diameter follows the Olympic standard for a men bar, and the sleeves take standard 50 mm plates.
The QPQ treatment is a surface hardening and corrosion protection process rather than a coating, so the finish resists wear from repeated loading of plates and does not chip in the way a painted bar does. The dark blue colour also makes the bar identifiable in a rack shared between disciplines.

Choosing bars for a professional facility
A box or a strength room needs bars in tiers rather than a single model. Bearing bars of this type are reserved for the platforms where weightlifting movements are performed; bushing bars are enough for pressing and squatting racks; short EZ and technique bars cover the accessory work and the beginner classes.
Colour coding by length and weight is the simplest way to keep that structure visible on a busy floor and to stop a competition bar being used for rack pulls. Coloured bars are supplied across the range so a facility can build that coding into its purchase.
