Description

The Bodytone BLAST-R is a professional HIIT rower with air resistance, no motor and no power supply, built on a raised frame that makes getting on and off easier between users. It measures 235 × 64 cm on the floor, 105 cm high, and weighs 48 kg.

What the BLAST-R is for

The rowing stroke works legs, back, arms and core in a single movement with no joint impact. Air resistance has no levels: it rises with pulling power, so the same machine suits a beginner and an advanced athlete. The monitor shows speed, time, distance, calories, watts and heart rate (wireless sensor), with 12 training modes, 4 custom programmes and a heart-rate recovery function.

Uses and limits

  • CrossFit boxes and HIIT studios: the raised frame speeds up user rotation during a WOD or group class.
  • Gyms, hotels, companies: zero energy consumption, transport wheels, high-density foam seat (33 × 13 cm) and multi-adjustable pedals.
  • Limit: allow 235 cm of length plus clearance for the rower behind (about 3 m in total). Maximum user weight: 150 kg.

Maintenance

Dust the fan and air grille, clean the rail and seat with a neutral detergent, periodically check the pull strap and pedal straps. No electrical components; the pull strap and pedal straps are wear parts (6-month cover, see Bodytone conditions), checks as per the supplied manual.

Choosing the right model

For a sturdy, easy-access rowing station in group classes, the BLAST-R is the reference model of the range. For upper-body work, pair it with the BLAST-S SkiErg; for running, with the ZRO-BLAST motorless treadmill.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from a standard floor-level rower?
The raised frame puts the seat higher: users sit down and stand up effortlessly, which matters during fast rotations in a WOD and for less mobile users. The rowing stroke and air resistance are the same.
Does the rower need a power socket?
No. Resistance comes from the air fan and the monitor is self-powered: the machine can be placed anywhere in the room.
