Description
Climbing Fitness is a self powered cardio machine that reproduces a continuous climbing movement at constant speed. Unlike most cardio equipment it works at low impact, protecting the joints while delivering a demanding cardiovascular session.
The value of a climbing motion is the length of the muscle chain it recruits. A user pulls with the arms and back while driving with the legs and hips, so the effort is distributed across the whole body rather than concentrated in the legs. That is what allows strength and endurance to develop at the same time and why the machine reaches a high energy cost quickly.
Constant speed is the defining characteristic of the design. Rather than letting the user coast, the rolling system maintains a steady rate, so the session is governed by the machine and not by fatigue. At 650 kg net and 2300 mm tall, the frame is dimensioned to stay absolutely stable throughout.

Installing a heavy cardio machine
Two figures govern the installation. At 2300 mm the machine is tall and the user is elevated further while climbing, so ceiling clearance must be checked from the highest working position rather than from the floor. At 650 kg net it is heavy, so the delivery route, any lift capacity and the floor loading need verifying before the order rather than on the day.
Light In Fitness manufactures and supplies professional equipment from Tours and offers longer warranties than most of the market, using high quality steels and leathers. A plan of the training area is prepared as part of the project study. We deliver and install in France, cover Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and quote export projects individually.
Frequently asked questions
Why is a climbing machine easier on the joints?
There is no landing phase. The feet and hands stay in contact with the machine, so the impact forces that accumulate during running are absent while the cardiovascular demand remains high.
Can it be installed on an upper floor?
The 650 kg net weight makes structural verification essential. Our technical team reviews the floor loading and the access route before confirming an upper floor installation.
Who is the machine for?
Members and athletes wanting high intensity conditioning without impact, including those returning from lower limb injury under professional supervision.
