Siting, foundations and delivery access
A concrete slab or concrete pads are recommended, with the exact solution set by the bearing capacity of the ground. The anchoring drawing is issued with the order; the slab itself, the levelling and any drainage are prepared on site and are not part of the container price. A building permit is generally required once the footprint exceeds 20 m2 or the unit is permanently anchored, and the EN 1090 technical file and drawings are supplied on request to support the application.
Access is the point that most often needs checking early. A 40 ft unit arrives on a flatbed truck and a handling crane is mandatory to set it down, so the approach road, the gate width and any overhead clearance should be surveyed before the order is placed. Logistics coordination is handled within the 15 to 20 working day lead time. Once the unit is in position, a certified electrician connects the IP66 enclosure, which is delivered pre-wired to NF C 15-100.
Where the container is opened to the public, the local safety commission will ask for the technical file along with accessible routes and evacuation arrangements. Rubber tiles suit the weightlifting and WOD zone, while HYROX artificial turf suits sled work and sprints, and one of the two is included with the configuration. Technical handover and maintenance training are given on delivery.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is included at 124 999 EUR?
The stainless container, the nine station rig with its 9 triangles and 9 interchangeable pull up bars, full length monkey bars in 9 profiles, 9 pairs of sandwich J-cups, a ramp, a bar rack for 18 Olympic bars, 3 disc racks totalling 900 kg, a ramp rack, an accessories rack, ventilation, lighting, sockets and the IP66 enclosure. Groundworks, crane hire on site and the electrical connection are outside that figure.
Should we specify 304 or 316L?
Grade 304 covers inland sites with dry air and no salt exposure. Within 10 km of the sea, or in permanently humid conditions such as a pool deck or a tropical climate, 316L is the right choice because 304 develops contact rust in saline air. State the installation location when requesting the quotation.
How does the 40 ft compare with the smaller formats?
The 10 ft unit gives about 7 m2 with 3 stations, the 20 ft about 14.4 m2 with 5 stations and 4 to 8 users, while this 40 ft unit gives about 30 m2, 9 stations and 8 to 16 users with a 2 500 kg equipment payload. It is the format for a CrossFit box, a bootcamp operator or a commercial gym adding outdoor capacity.
