Description
The 10 ft stainless steel CrossFit container gym is the most compact unit in the range, built on a 2.99 by 2.44 m container that gives about 7 m2 of lockable storage. The training happens outside: a three module Cross Competition rig is mounted on the faces of the container, so 6 to 10 people can work at the same time while bars, plates, ramps and accessories stay locked inside overnight. That split suits a tight urban plot, a box courtyard, a military site or a municipal fitness area where equipment cannot be left out. It is supplied fully equipped at 49 999 EUR excluding VAT.

Siting, anchoring and delivery access
As a minimum the unit sits on four concrete pads, one per corner, with additional anchors for the rig; the bearing capacity of the ground has to be verified beforehand. The container and rig anchoring drawing is issued with the order, while the pads or slab themselves are prepared on site and are not covered by the container price. In most cases a building permit is required as soon as the unit is permanently anchored, even below 20 m2, so check the local planning rules early. The EN 1090 technical file, EN 16630 and ISO 9001 documents are available for planning and public building applications.
Because the 10 ft format is short and light compared with the larger units, a forklift of 2 t or more, or a light crane, is usually enough to place it, which is what makes this size workable on constrained sites with narrow access. The final position of the rig on the container faces, and the layout of the racks inside, are fixed on the drawing at order stage according to how the site is oriented and how vehicles reach it.
The rig is an outdoor fitness structure, so a clear peripheral zone and impact attenuating surfacing sized to the fall height are the reference practice under EN 16630 and EN 1177. Rubber tiles or artificial turf are included under the rig with the configuration. A certified electrician commissions the IP66 enclosure, which arrives pre-wired to NF C 15-100, and technical handover is given at delivery.
Frequently asked questions
Can people train inside the container?
No, and that is deliberate. A 10 ft box is roughly 3 m long, so the 7 m2 inside is used as a secure store for bars, plates, ramps, accessories and the electrical enclosure. Group training takes place outside on the rig. If you need covered training positions such as a sheltered squat rack, the 20 ft unit with about 15 m2 is the right starting point.
Why 49 999 EUR when a used 10 ft box costs a fraction of that?
A second hand shipping container is a bare Corten steel box certified only to ISO 1496 for sea freight. This unit is a full industrial conversion in stainless steel with a certified competition rig integrated into the structure, four storage racks, an IP66 stainless enclosure, LED lighting and ventilation, covered by a single 10 year structural warranty. Assembling the same result from separate suppliers typically lands between 30 000 and 45 000 EUR without unified certification or warranty.
Which stainless grade should we order?
Grade 304 is right for inland sites with dry air. Within 10 km of the coast, near a pool or in permanently humid air, specify 316L, since 304 develops contact rust in saline conditions. The grade is confirmed on the quotation once you state the location.
Light In Fitness has built professional fitness structures in Tours, France since 2013 and issues quotations within 24 working hours. Request a quotation for the 10 ft unit, or see the other formats on the container gym page.
