Siting, safety area and delivery access
Plan the layout around the 99 m2 safety area required by EN 16630 rather than around the container alone. The deployed structure is 786 cm deep once the rig is in place, so a plot that only fits the 600 by 240 cm box will not pass inspection. Impact attenuating surfacing to EN 1177, sized to the fall height of the rig, is laid under and around the training positions.
Delivery is straightforward for this format: a standard flatbed truck is enough, provided the gate opening is at least 3 m, the access road at least 3.5 m wide and the overhead clearance at least 4 m. Those three figures are worth measuring before the order is confirmed, because they decide whether a crane is needed on the day. The container and rig anchoring drawing is issued with the order; the concrete pads or slab, the levelling and the electrical supply to the unit are prepared on site.
The STANAG 7213 Ed 3 certification is the differentiator of this format. It is the NATO standardisation reference for interoperable military equipment and is normally required in defence tenders and on allied bases, which makes the 20 ft the format to specify when the buyer is a defence body rather than a civilian operator. The ISO 668, ISO 1161 and CSC certifications keep the unit compatible with standard lifting gear and with road, rail and sea transport, so it can be redeployed rather than left in place.
Frequently asked questions
What is included in the five station configuration?
Five Cross Competition stations with five 43 in triangles and five interchangeable pull up bars, monkey bars over the full length of the rig in five profiles, five pairs of sandwich J-cups, a ramp, a bar rack for 10 Olympic bars, two 300 kg disc racks on castors, a ramp rack, an accessories rack, ventilation, sockets, Octagon LED lighting and the IP66 stainless enclosure. Everything is stainless: no painted carbon steel parts anywhere in the build.
Is 20 ft the right size for our project?
With about 14.4 m2 inside and 4 to 8 people training at once, this format sits between the 10 ft unit, which uses its interior purely for storage, and the 40 ft unit, which delivers 9 stations for 8 to 16 users. Choose the 20 ft when you want indoor positions plus secure storage without needing a full commercial box.
Can the pull up bar layout be set to our training protocols?
Yes. The initial placement of each bar profile by station is fixed on the drawing at order stage, and the bars remain interchangeable between stations afterwards, so the rig can be reconfigured as programmes change.
