Opening a gym, a coaching studio or a cross-training box, or fitting out a floor for a hotel, a company or a public authority? This guide sets out the equipment budgets actually observed by project type, the cost of each line item, three preconfigured packages and the financing routes available, so that you can frame your project before you speak to anyone.
In brief
Allow 15,000 to 35,000 EUR excluding VAT for a coaching studio of 50 to 100 sqm, 30,000 to 70,000 EUR excluding VAT for a box of 150 to 300 sqm, and 50,000 to 120,000 EUR excluding VAT for a gym of 200 to 400 sqm. These figures cover equipment only: machines, flooring and accessories. They exclude the premises, building works, reception furniture and changing rooms. Flooring is usually a modest share of the total, yet it determines how long everything laid on it survives.

Where saving money costs the most
On a 200 sqm gym, the floor represents a few thousand euros against a machine inventory running into tens of thousands. Yet it is the floor that absorbs vibration and impact before either reaches the equipment or the building. Zoning the floor properly, with 15 mm in cardio, 20 mm in strength and 40 mm in the drop zone, costs roughly 30 percent less than a single thickness everywhere, and protects better where protection is actually needed.
Cages, racks and structures

| Four-post squat cage | 1,500 to 4,000 EUR |
| Cross-training rig, 4 to 6 stations | 5,000 to 15,000 EUR |
| Cross-training rig, 10 stations and above | 15,000 to 40,000 EUR |
| Outdoor street workout cage | 5,000 to 30,000 EUR |

4. Financing routes
Leasing and finance rental
Spreading the investment over 24 to 60 months allows a facility to open without tying up working capital. As an order of magnitude, equipment worth 50,000 EUR financed over 60 months represents a monthly payment in the region of 900 to 1,100 EUR, depending on the lender, the term, the deposit and whether a purchase option is included.
Business lending
Banks routinely finance gym equipment. Terms depend on your profile, your contribution and market conditions at the time, and are negotiated case by case on the strength of a solid financial forecast.
Public funding
Projects led by a municipality, a public authority or a not-for-profit association can frequently draw on public support for sports facilities. The available schemes are national and regional, and they differ from one country to another, so the applicable programmes should be checked with the relevant national sports authority and regional administration before budgeting for them. Where a site qualifies as rural, European rural development funding may also apply. We supply the technical documentation and standards certificates required to assemble an application file.
5. How the quotation is built
| Stage | What you provide | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Your enquiry | Available floor area, project type, target budget, specific constraints | Acknowledgement and an initial scoping conversation |
| 2. Tailored study | A dimensioned plan if you have one, and the fire and public-access status of the building | Recommended equipment list, 2D and 3D layout plan, detailed quotation |
| 3. Review and adjustment | Your priorities and trade-offs | Brand and tier selection, budget optimisation, delivery schedule |
| 4. Delivery and installation | Site access and a delivery slot | Delivery, optional installation, handover and after-sales support |
Delivery terms, lead times and installation arrangements depend on the destination country and are confirmed in writing with each proposal.
6. Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum budget to open a gym?
Allow at least 15,000 EUR excluding VAT for a studio or coaching space of 50 to 80 sqm with basic equipment. For a gym of 200 sqm and above, budget at least 50,000 EUR excluding VAT for equipment, excluding premises, works and changing rooms.
Is the quotation free?
Yes, free and without obligation. It includes a 3D layout plan of your future space, prepared from your floor area and your intended zones.
What are the lead times?
Lead times differ between stocked references and special orders, custom colours and bespoke fabrication, and they also depend on the destination country. Both are stated in the quotation.
Do you offer installation?
Yes. The price depends on distance, volume and site access constraints, and it is quoted as a separate line so that you can make your own trade-off.
Can payment be spread?
Yes. Payment facilities are available, and we can point you towards leasing or finance rental arrangements suited to your structure.
Do you manufacture bespoke equipment?
Yes, particularly for CrossFit cages, outdoor steel and stainless steel structures, and specific fit-outs. Manufacturing takes place in our own workshop: describe the project and we will assess feasibility.
What share of the budget should go to the floor?
The floor is usually a modest share of the equipment budget, but it determines the service life of everything laid on it. The method is to zone: a thin thickness in cardio, standard in strength, reinforced in the drop zone. Proper zoning costs less than a single thickness applied everywhere.
