Planning a dual station line-up
Dual machines halve the number of frames needed to cover a movement matrix, but each frame still serves one user at a time. They therefore work best in circuits with moderate simultaneous demand, in hotel and corporate suites, and as a complement to single function stations on a busy club floor rather than a wholesale replacement for them. Selectorised stacks keep load changes quick, which matters when a coach is running a group through timed stations.

Can two members use a dual station at the same time?
No. The two functions share one weight stack and one seat position, so the station is used by one person at a time. Size the number of frames on peak attendance, not on the number of exercises listed.
How does this compare with plate loaded equipment?
Selectorised stacks are faster to adjust and need no disc storage nearby, while plate loaded machines suit strength focused floors where users train at heavier absolute loads.
