What the studded underside changes
The studs leave a continuous void between the tile and the substrate. Air circulates and water drains away underneath: this tile can be laid indoors or outdoors, provided the substrate drains properly.
That air gap also separates the covering from the structural slab and reduces the transmission of impact noise to the level below — the deciding factor for a training area installed on an upper floor, above offices or flats.
Edge trims and transition ramps are available on quotation for exposed edges, in the thickness selected. A solid-colour version in 100 % EPDM (blue, grey, ochre, green or brick red) can also be produced to order, with minimum quantity and lead time confirmed on the quotation.
Working out quantities and delivery
Allow for the usable surface plus a cutting margin for edges and cut-outs around machines. Delivery is on pallets and is not included in the price: transport costs depend on quantity and destination and are stated on the quotation.
Installation
Loose lay. The tiles are laid on a flat, clean and dry subfloor, edge to edge with no gap between them. Leave an expansion gap of about 5 mm between the flooring and the walls. Start with a full row along a wall or facing the entrance, then lay in a staggered pattern, offsetting the joints from one row to the next, to spread the stresses. Subfloor preparation should be confirmed according to the condition of the existing floor and the intended use.
Care
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust, sand and abrasive particles. Wash with a slightly damp mop or a scrubber-dryer fitted with soft brushes, using a pH-neutral detergent suitable for rubber flooring, then rinse with clean water if needed and leave to dry. Wipe up any spilled liquid straight away.
Do not use: wire brushes or abrasive pads, bleach, vinegar, bathroom cleaners, high-pH strippers, or products containing oils, greases or solvents. The floor is used with clean sports shoes.

Floor care
Vacuum regularly, then wash with warm water and a pH-neutral detergent. Solvents, acetone and chlorine attack the binder and mark the surface permanently. In click-in installations, check the joints and edge clips once a year.
