Description
The CR550 is the compact chest of the range: 50 litres for the coaching kit that has to stay together, stay clean and stay locked.
The coaching kit in one lockable box
Resistance bands, suspension straps, skipping ropes, timers, stopwatches, markers, chalk and small coaching gear fit into a single unit that one person can carry. In a gym, a cross-training box, a studio, a club or an outdoor fitness area, the CR550 keeps the class kit together and puts it under lock and key between two sessions. Also known as a site chest, it is equally at home in a workshop or a plant room.
Pressed sheet steel and reinforced hardware
The body is built from pressed sheet steel and finished in RAL 7021 grey. Two carrying handles are fitted on tamper-proof plates, the reinforced hinges stop at a 95 degree opening angle, and the hasp accepts a padlock (30 mm padlock available as an option) to secure the contents. At 6.2 kg empty, this is the model that actually travels: to the outdoor area, to an off-site class, into the back of a van.
Fitting out and accessories
Dedicated accessories make the chest mobile or raised depending on your layout: wheeled dolly, castor set, galvanised feet, intermediate stacking tray or carrying strap according to the model. Frequently asked questions
Can one person carry it?
Empty it weighs 6.2 kg, and the load capacity is 30 kg. Loaded with bands, ropes and timers it stays well within single-person handling; loaded with cast iron it does not.
Is there a sliding tray for this size?
No. The tray is fitted on the CR800B and CR1048B versions. On 50 litres, an internal fabric organiser is usually the simpler answer.
Which padlock fits?
The hasp is sized for a 30 mm padlock, available as an option. A single padlock reference across the whole facility keeps key management simple.
Does it stack with the larger chests?
Stack chests of matching footprint only. The CR550 has its own base size, so it is better kept on a shelf or on top of a larger unit that is not opened during the class.
