The MAX 10 is a professional stair climber with a rotating staircase of eight steps, three of them in the working position, set at a 38 degree angle. Step cadence runs from 14 to 140 steps per minute across ten resistance levels, driven by a 2.5 hp DC motor with a twin chain transmission.

Climbing loads the glutes, quadriceps and calves through a movement the body already knows, which is why stair climbers produce high energy expenditure at moderate perceived effort and why they are consistently among the busiest machines on a mixed cardio floor.
