Description
This 25 mm green rubber tile of 100 x 100 cm is made from recycled SBR granulate coloured through the mass, weighs around 25 kg per square metre and is optimised for outdoor use. The colour is in the granulate rather than in a surface paint, so scuffing and abrasion do not reveal a black core.
The back of the tile is grooved, which serves two purposes outdoors: it drains water away from the interface with the substrate and it spreads the impact across the tile. Combined with ultraviolet stability and freeze thaw resistance, that makes the tile suitable for outdoor fitness areas, terraces and rooftop training spaces where a plain indoor tile would fade or lift.
Fire classification is Efl to EN 13501-1, for use outside buildings subject to French ERP rules. EN 1177 impact attenuation is not stated for the green reference; where a fall height has to be covered, the 25 mm black tile with a tested HIC of 1.00 m is the reference to use. The tile is non slip, including barefoot on a wet surface, which extends its use to pool surrounds.

Colour as a zoning tool
On an outdoor fitness area or a multi use surface, colour does the work that signage cannot: it marks the training zone, separates the circulation from the equipment and survives the weather. Because the pigment is in the mass, the marking stays legible for the life of the tile rather than for a season.
At around 25 kg per square metre the tile is heavy enough to be laid loose on a flat, drained substrate, which speeds up installation and allows a section to be lifted later for access to services underneath.
Frequently asked questions
Will the green fade outdoors?
The tile is ultraviolet stable and the granulate is coloured through the mass, so the tone stays stable in outdoor exposure.
Can it be used under playground equipment?
Not on the basis of this reference, for which EN 1177 data is not stated. For fall areas, use the 25 mm black tile with a tested HIC of 1.00 m.
Does it need bonding?
Loose laying is possible on a flat substrate since the weight stabilises the floor. Bonding is used on slopes and where the surface must not shift.
