Description
The Fishing Nets playground recreates the look of old green fishing nets hung from brown wooden masts — but behind the maritime scenery stands a hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated steel structure 9.0 m tall and over 30 m long. Nets of different shapes and sizes let children move freely through the whole structure, making this one of the most immersive themed play areas in our catalogue.
A harbour full of attractions
- Central lookout at 4.0 m, styled like a stork nest on a ship and clad in 10 mm exterior-grade HPL panels
- Two rope trusses leading up to the lookout
- Two trampolines covered with 10 mm reinforced rubber matting
- Three rope ladders and twelve climbing ropes to test agility
- Three printed flags on the main masts for colour and character
Rope and steel engineered for public service
The nets are braided, bonded polyamide rope reinforced with galvanised steel strings, 18 mm in diameter, with plastic and aluminium connectors throughout. The steel framework is hot-dip galvanised and powder coated, and the structure is anchored on foundations at 1.0 m depth.
